Malmö
Located in the southern province of Scania (Swedish: Skåne), Malmö is the 3rd largest city in Sweden. As of 2006, Malmö had a population of 276,244, with approximately 605,000 living in the metropolitan area.
Since 1999 (the bridge actually opened to the public in in 2000), Malmö has been connected by the Oresund bridge (Swedish Öresundsbron; Danish: Øresundsbroen), across the Oresund strait, to Copenhagen, Denmark.
